Puddleducks Nursery and Pre-school sits within the main educational and sports centre campus in Pewsey, Wiltshire and resides in a purpose built building nestled between two schools.
We are a dynamic team of 13 employees, looking after 38 children aged between 0-4 years. Our two room setting is modern, vibrant and a home-like environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, conscientious and experienced practitioner to join our popular nursery. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of the EYFS and a passion for childcare and development, being able to use their own initiative to ensure that the children’s individual needs are met. They will manage a small key worker group and liaise with parents/carers and work colleagues.
They must offer the best care and stimulation to ensure that each child reaches their full potential. The candidate should also have good communication and writing skills.
Candidates must hold level NVQ2/3 in childcare and development, or equivalent and it would also be desirable to hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate (training can be given). Online training for food hygiene and Safeguarding and Child Protection will be allocated once in post.
We are committed to safeguarding children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and are exempt from the Rehabilitation Act 1974.
